The NJ Stallions Academy Boys Teams, U12B, U14B, U15B & U16B all made it to the Final Championship round at the 2011 Ironbound Spring Warm-up Tournament; the U12B, U15B, and U16B all brought home Champion Trophies, with the U14B team coming in second place in their age group. Only six months after the launch of NJ Stallions Academy in the summer of 2010, NJ Stallions’ boys and girls teams have wasted no time putting in impressive performances in competitive events in the region.
The U12 Boys won all 4 of their games at Ironbound, only allowing 2 goals against over strong boys programs from all over New Jersey. On the heels of a strong performance at the Manhattan Kickoff, Coach Jimmy Rivas’ U12 boys continued their winning ways, allowing only 2 goals against, including a shutout win in the final vs Parsippany SC Celtic. Julio Cesar’s U14 Boys also showed very well at Ironbound with a Finalist showing against top 20 teams from New York and New Jersey.
The U15 Boys, also headed by Coach Cesar, took the winner’s trophy against other state rival opponents Pasco SC Juniors, Parsippany SC Celtic Knights, and the Ironbound SC Vipers. And finally, the NJ Stallions flagship boys squad, NJ Stallions 94/95s, coached by Seton Hall University Mens’ Coach, Kobie Johnson, logged 4 shutout wins to take the Champions Trophy for the U16 age group.
NJ Stallions General Manager, Rich Gentile, said of the club’s boys teams, “This was a great weekend for our players, our coaching staff, and our club. I couldn’t ask for a better way to kickoff the Spring of 2011, still in our first year as NJ Stallions Academy”. Congratulations to all the players and their families.
